7 Things I Love - Meme

I was very surprised to find that AdoroteDevote tagged me. It's hard to beat her answers, though. ;)

7 Things I Love

  1. God. Everything about Him (even the stuff I really have no idea about. Because I just know that once I do know about Him, I'll love everything) is beautiful/wonderful/awe-inspiring. He died for me, (and I am NOT worthy of that), He offers Himself in the Eucharist for us, He allows us to love him by ourselves, out of our own free will. And He created everything else on this list, in some way or another.
  2. My parents.
  3. My best friend-more-like-a-sister (without the fights. knockonwood). Constant prayers for her are needed (she's not Catholic), but she really is my best friend. She and I have written a novel together, and are writing an Epic Fic about Maximum Ride. D's awesome: funny, smarticle, and always there for me. Random, too. And have I mentioned awesome? It's really hard to explain how amazing of a bfitwfl she is.
  4. Little kids. Generally before they can walk or talk (much).
  5. Jeans straight from the dryer.
  6. The golden hills of California. Driving by them on the highway fills most of my early memories of visits to Grandpa, aunts, uncles, friends, and all around. They're everywhere. The long grass waves in the breeze, rippling like the ocean. When cropped short, you can (sometimes) see rabbits, maybe even deer. The dark, dark green of short trees and shrubs contrasts beautifully... And they stretch on forever, with small towns (Sunol, CA), and gorgeous views wedged onto the roads.
  7. Falcons and hawks, and some other birds of prey. They are just amazing. The peregrines that nested above our old house, that I still see flying around, attacking pigeons, teaching their juveniles to stop whining and get flying... The red tails I see on lamposts above the highway, that I see wheeling above on hot days--even the turkey vultures are ALWAYS there (and even the ones that run into car windshields, or so I hear), I love them.
I also love writing. Without writing... I'd probably go crazy (why it's such a blow to have lost my external harddrive. That had EVERYTHING on it. All of my writing... Gone... *headdesks and cries*).

And those are the seven things that I love that came to mind.

I tag:

Emli
Spencer (Psh. Like he'll actually SEE this, let alone post. He's never on. Gawsh.)
Michael (Pyro. <3
or Pyff. xD)
D (maybe you could do it on TheOtherSide blog? It needs some activity. ^_^;;)
YOU. because I don't know that many people.
